Emily, our Country Manager in the USA is expecting her second baby :)! In her previous blogpost she gave her 7 Tips To Get Started On Your Registry. Today she's sharing all the must-haves for new moms.

We know it can be overwhelming, we're here to help!

SLEEP
CRIB
I love this crib from Pottery Barn. It was important to me for it to be convertible, this way we can turn it into a toddler’s bed instead of having to buy one later on. In case you missed it – Milestone™ is now also available at PBK here !

BASSINET AND CO-SLEEPER
Before baby is ready to transition to the crib, you will more than likely need a bassinet or co-sleeper, so you don’t have to go back and forth to the nursery for all those night feedings. I really like the Halo Bassinet that goes right next to your bed or the DockATot that can be used as a co-sleeper or lounger.

BEDDING
You will need fitted crib sheets, waterproof mattress pads (x2 at least), swaddling blankets and sleep sacks. Choosing the sheets and mattress pads will depend on your personal style. My favorite swaddle blankets are from aden+anais and I chose The Miracle Blanket Swaddle that everyone was talking about (let me tell you it really works)! Quilts or baby blankets are mostly just decorative at the very beginning and again choosing those will depend on your personal style or nursery theme.

GEAR
STROLLER+INFANT CAR SEAT
Choosing a stroller and a car seat might be an easier process if you go to a store and give them a test drive or take a closer look at them. That’s what I did and that’s how I end up choosing the 2017 B-Agile 3 / B-Safe 35 Elite Travel System I love how lightweight the stroller was and that the car seat has an extra layer of side protection. For this price point that is a really good choice.

BABY CARRIER
I absolutely love and recommend Ergobaby. It seems to be every momma’s favorite as well so you can’t go wrong when it's mom-approved.

DIAPER BAG
Choosing a diaper bag really depends on your personal style. Just make sure its easy, washable and has plenty of pockets. I picked the Skip Hop Duo, because I loved the design. I also love this  Backpack from Anthropologie for fun quick adventures like first travels, check out our booklet to capture these moments here .

TRAVEL CRIB
Having a travel crib is a good option if you travel a lot or have family you visit often. There are few different options out there that I really liked, but ultimately I chose BABYBJORN. They can be expensive, but it’s an investment that your little ones can use for years.

BABY SWING
Same as the Travel Crib, having a swing is optional, but with my first baby I found out it was a lifesaver for us as our little boy loved it and spent plenty of time in it. This is the Swing we had with my first one, but I also love this one, and I’ve heard many great reviews on both.

FEEDING
BOTTLES
If you choose to use bottles I highly recommend Dr. Brown's, because they reduce feeding problems. I had them with my son and they worked great. This time around I am using Kiinde Feeding System, because their pouches are recyclable and save time with cleaning and sterilizing bottles that I had to do the first time around.

HIGH CHAIR
The high chair I chose is able to accommodate our growing family with a new baby, and a toddler who can sit at the table all at once. I also found its easy to clean and storage.

BIBS + BIRP CLOTHS
My favorite choice for both is again aden+anais brand. They are made with 100% cotton muslin and the designs are adorable

NURSING BRA
A comfortable nursing bra is a huge must-have as you will be breastfeeding a newborn multiple times a day. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t look pretty and make you feel beautiful. I love all the different designs that A PEA IN A POD offer on their website, and this is one of my favorites! While browsing for different styles of nursing bras don’t forget to check us out too here !

BATH TIME
BATH TUB
I have two recommendations for an infant bath tub Puj Tub and 4Moms. Both great choices and reasonably priced.

BATH TOWEL + BABY WASH + BABY LOTION
My favorite brand and go-to is always Burt’s Bees  for all things baby skin related. Burt’s Bees has stayed true to very simple idea – what you put on your body should be made by the best nature has to offer.

BABY CARE
DIAPER + WIPES
My recommendation is to wait till you have your baby to choose what brand works the best. We started with one company, but soon realized it was not working for our son, so we went through few different options before we found the one that worked the best for us.

HUMIDIFIER
An absolute must have on your registry should be a humidifier. I really like this  one, because it looks modern and the price is really affordable.

INFANT THERMOMENTER + STARTER KIT
You should have all these before the baby arrives. I really recommend Braun Thermometer and Fridababy Bitty Bundle of Joy It’s always a good idea to put some baby educational toys and books that you like, as well as few clothing items, but usually that’s everyone’s favorite part to shop for, so you will get plenty of those even without requesting them. Another good idea is to give the option to receive Gift Cards, so you can use them after baby arrives.

Don’t forget building a registry should be fun an exciting experience, not the other way around! Don’t over stress too much and enjoy every second of it! You will do great, no matter what you did or did not put on your registry.
